For Randall & Payne, being fully involved with the Gloucestershire community is important to all of us, as is the desire to contribute to the development of the community in which we live and work. For good economic growth we need entrepreneurs with great ideas and products, and the confidence to launch new businesses in Gloucestershire. We're keen to encourage and support entrepreneurs and new businesses in the area.
We're proud to be have been in Stroud for more than 130 years and more recently, in Gloucester and Cheltenham. Gloucestershire is a wonderful part of the world and we're not surprised that people want to live and build family businesses here.
Our involvement comes in various guises, from giving free professional advice and support to local community and voluntary organisations through Gloucester ProHelp, part of the national network ProHelp, to sponsorship and fundraising activities.
Our sponsorship activities include:
R&P supported The Rotary Club of Cheltenham North in respect of the Swim4Shelterbox sponsored swim on 23/10/10. R&P provided sponsored swimming caps for the event, which is expected to have raised £1000 for the disaster relief charity that delivers emergency shelter, warmth and dignity to people affected by disaster worldwide.

We have an active programme of award sponsorship in local schools, to celebrate pupils’ enterprise and achievement, and are sponsors of the University of Gloucester BUG (Business planning at the University of Gloucestershire) Competition, run by the Centre for Enterprise & Innovation, designed to encourage students’ entrepreneurial skills. resources.glos.ac.uk/staff/news/university-celebrates-entrepreneurial-stars.cfm
Business Awards
Randall & Payne are proud to be part of Gloucestershire Media's Business Awards. Rewarding good businesses is good for both the businesses themselves and for Gloucestershire, which is something we're more than happy to promote. In 2010 we sponsored the 'Young Business of the Year category for The Citizen and Echo Business Awards to reward entrepreneurial excellence in Gloucestershire and showcase some of the incredible talent in Gloucestershire.
In the 2010 Stroud Life Business Awards Randall and Payne sponsored the 'Family Business of the Year' category to highlight the best of those and help family businesses to survive and thrive.
Our fund raising events include:
BIG Golf Days, founded by Ian Eggleton of Evans Jones LLP, Richard Perry of Charlton Networks - last held on 13th August in aid of Gloucestershire Young Carers to support the often unrecognised contribution of young carers in our community. www.glosyoungcarers.org.uk
Randall and Payne Accountants played 11-a-side football against a team from Nat West Bank and Royal Bank of Scotland in aid of charity Breakthrough Breast Cancer, in cold, blustery, floodlit conditions, raising £480 on the night with an expectation that the final figure will be around £730 thanks to Nat West’s matched funding scheme.
