Training programmes
Our training programmes for 2008 are now full. However, exceptional
candidates with a minimum 3 A levels including at least 2 at grade
A may still apply.
School leavers
We are currently accepting applications
for the Association of Accounting Technicians’ three-year training
programme, for which you will need at least two A levels or the
equivalent.
The fully-funded training includes block
release with our training provider in Bath, payment of course fees,
paid study leave and a daily expense allowance.
Graduates
We are seeking graduates with a minimum
2.2 degree from a recognised university for our three-year graduate
training scheme. Successful completion of the study programme involved
will lead to admission to the Institute of Chartered Accountants
in England and Wales.
Because we are a general practice, our
trainees gain wide-ranging experience in areas including annual
and management accounts, audit, personal and business tax, investment
work and tax planning.

Audit Senior
Due to the continued expansion of our audit
work, we are looking to recruit an experienced qualified or part
qualified ACA/ACCA to work on a varied portfolio of audit clients.
Reporting to the senior audit manager, you will be responsible
for all aspect of the audit work including supervising a team of
2/3 juniors. Knowledge of or an interest in the not for profit
sector would be an advantage.
Software Developer / Project Manager

In addition to maintaining and supporting
existing applications, you will be responsible for the design and
implementation of bespoke software, including the initial requirements
gathering and post implementation support.
Specific responsibilities
- Maintenance and continued development
of School Management Software written in C# with an SQL Server
backend.
- Maintenance of a PHP based Intranet
Solution
- SQL Data mining for internal mail merges
etc
- Internal IT support as required
Qualifications & experience
- Minimum of a 2:1 in Computer Science
or other relevant degree.
- At least 2 years .Net development experience.
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Advanced level experience of Windows
Forms programming with C#
with a good knowledge of the .NET Framework.
- Intermediate to advanced level experience
using SQL Server, stored procedures and T-SQL
- Ability to build up and lead a team.
- Some knowledge of Access Databases
- Excellent communication skills, ability
to build a rapport with clients and staff.
- Experience in developing using N-Tier
architecture
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Product launch experience
- PRINCE2 or equivalent project management
