Members of the UK200 Group since 2008, Randall & Payne now have three partners on UK200 Group's specialist panels of experts!
The UK200 Group was formed in 1986 in recognition of the benefits in bringing like-minded independent firms together to share best practice and expertise. Today, the mutual association provides members with access to an association of member firms across the UK and overseas, as well as to their panels of experts. As the leading UK quality assured membership association of practicing chartered accountants and lawyers, UK200Group members offer comprehensive skills and expertise delivered locally with extensive local knowledge.
Randall & Payne have both new and very experienced staff, so membership of the UK200 Group helps them ensure that their team is client focused and delivering consistent, quality service, maintaining and improving their clients’ financial and business performance. It also gives them the benefit of an extra pool of knowledge and experience if they come across something they haven’t previously encountered, in both accountancy and law.
With this extra pool of knowledge, Randall & Payne can get a clear view of ‘the bigger picture’ for their clients, enabling them to provide help and advice to their clients on many more issues than the majority of accountants, with no ‘knock-on’ effect.
Ian Selwood, Will Abbott and Chris Mattos have so much expertise in their chosen fields that they are now among the people that the experts turn to for advice on Education - Ian Selwood, Corporate Finance and Business Strategy - Will Abbott and Tax - Chris Mattos, providing expert advice and comment on issues arising in these fields.
As Ian explains: “Not only do we give advice about our specialist fields but the Group can act as one voice informing government on issues affecting our clients. As I sit on the education panel, I’m able to share my knowledge on Academic school status and how it is affecting schools in our region on anything from VAT issues to Governance Evaluation”.
Chris adds: “Tax planning is often about finding practical solutions for businesses without creating unnecessary costs. As tax law has become such a vast and complex subject, being able to discuss ideas in forums helps to get clients the best results. It also keeps us up to date with the latest ideas in other situations that our clients have yet to encounter.”
Will concluded: “We know we have national level specialists to be proud of and the Group has confirmed this to us this year as Chris and I are both talking at the annual national conference where around 200 partners go to hear the latest ideas.”
