GloucestershireLive Business Awards finalists revealed for 2022

The finalists of the GloucestershireLive Business Awards 2022 have been decided. The annual awards, which are run in association with BusinessLive, have been celebrating the best of business in the county for nearly a quarter of a century.

Competition this year was fierce; there were 140 entries, with businesses from all sectors – from tech to engineering to retail to manufacturing – submitting nominations. There were a range of categories available this year, including two new ones – the Sustainability Award and the Charity of the Year.

Despite a challenging year for business, amid rising inflation and economic uncertainty, many firms have been quick to adapt and innovate – and as a result are thriving. It’s these efforts we will be celebrating at the awards ceremony at Cheltenham Racecourse on October 13.

The finalists were decided by a panel of judges who gathered here at Chargrove House to review the entries and decide the shortlists.

These judges included our very own Tim Watkins who was joined by fellow sponsors, as well as Ian Mean MBE, director of Gloucestershire Chamber at Business West, Suzanne Hall-Gibbins and Angela Edwards, both directors of Circle 2 Success, Sam Holliday, development manager at the FSB, Hannah Baker, South West editor at BusinessLive and Nick Gazzard, chief executive of the Hollie Gazzard Trust (Charity Partner).

Following more than two hours of discussions, the finalists for each category were drawn up.

Tim said: “It was great to see so many entries this year and many from those that had either not entered for some time or hadn’t entered before. There was plenty of lively debate amongst the judges and the process was as rigorous as ever so the winners can be sure their awards are well earned!”
