National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage Rates for 2022

 

From 1 April 2022, the National Minimum Wage and the National Living Wage rates are set to increase for all age bands and for apprentices.

Ensure you are ready to make the necessary changes to your payroll arrangements.

The new rates of pay are shown below:

You must be at least school leaving age to get the National Minimum Wage and aged 23 to get the National Living Wage (the minimum wage will still apply for workers aged 22 and under).

Apprentices are entitled to the apprentice rate if they’re either; aged under 19 or aged 19 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship. They are entitled to the minimum wage for their age if they are aged 19 or over and have completed the first year of their apprenticeship.
