The Head of Audit, Russel Byrd who sits on the ICAEW’s Audit Registration Committee, has given a clear indication that further growth is on the agenda for the department, which has doubled in size over the last four years.

“Being shortlisted for this award for two years running is an amazing achievement for the audit team here at Randall & Payne. Our focus has always been to deliver an efficient and effective audit to our clients, working collaboratively with them when faced with issues following their audit.  This recognition is testament to the audit team, and how hard we work to deliver a first-class product to our clients, I am really proud of them.  To put this into perspective, the other two firms shortlisted are 9th and 11th of the top accountancy firms in the UK”, comments Russel Byrd.

Vicky Link is the Head of Accountancy, and a self-confessed perfectionist who has a keen eye for business development and new technology. Vicky joined the Randall & Payne team in 2004, and worked across the business as a Client Relationship Manager before heading up the Accountancy department in 2014 and becoming a partner in 2015. Having been exposed to so many different services within the business, including tax, audit and business advisory, she approaches accountancy solutions with the bigger picture in mind.

As the leader of one of the firm’s largest departments – both in terms of staff members and revenue – it’s vital for Vicky to ensure that work flows through efficiently to provide clients with the best possible service. She is constantly refining and sharpening our accounts processes to keep standards high, and is usually found meeting with clients to help them achieve their goals and keep their business plans on track.

“I am really pleased to have made it through to the shortlist for “New Partner of the Year” award. I am up against strong competition from National firms (including top 100 firms) and so it will be exciting to see how things go on the night. I’m very proud to be representing not only myself but also the firm at the awards this year”, comments Vicky.
