Our focus is our relationships with clients to fully service their needs. With around 50 staff we have the friendly feel of a family run business and you will have the opportunity to get more involved with our clients from early in your career and experience all aspects of accounting and advisory work.
We currently have an excellent opportunity in our dynamic, talented and high performing Audit and Assurance team, who have been finalists in the Audit Team of the Year category in 2017, 2018 and 2019, narrowly missing out against companies of significantly greater manpower, further highlighting the ability to punch well above their weight within the profession. We are looking to continue to build the team and as a semi-senior member, you will play a key role in contributing to the team’s continued growth.
The successful individual will work closely with the managers and director to service a diverse and interesting portfolio of clients, including owner managed businesses, small-medium groups and academies.
Whilst you will be required to undertake some planning and completion work, the main focus of the role will be setting up, delivering and concluding upon audit testing.
The role also involves the coaching, development and 360 degree feedback with other members of the team to drive efficiencies and help each other.
We are looking for someone who is driven and hardworking, with a commercial awareness to hit the ground running and complete a range of testing to meet the growing demand of work within the department. You will also need to be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they are a team player who is enthusiastic with a positive can-do attitude. You will need to be adaptive to a range of software packages, namely Caseware Cloud and Microsoft services (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Preferably, you will be ACA/ACCA part qualified, or qualified. However, we are happy to consider applications from individuals who are ready to enrol within the ACA/ ACCA qualification with the requisite experience. We are happy to provide ACA/ ACCA study support if appropriate.
The role will provide you with the opportunity to audit all areas of an organisation and develop a commercial understanding of different industries and sectors. Through use of a range of accounting software packages, the role will improve your operational understanding, whilst allowing for flexible learning and on the job training on our cloud based systems with real time 360 degree feedback.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a day’s leave for your birthday in addition to your annual holiday entitlement! The firm offers good work-life balance and the chance to work alongside friendly colleagues. “From the moment I joined the firm from sixth form 8 years ago, everyone was so welcoming and I felt like a team member from the off, realising I was contributing to the overall success of the firm, whilst being rewarded for the effort put in. The chance to work on all areas of an audit, on such a range of clients in different industries and sectors was more than I could have imagined and boosted my confidence in all areas of work. There is a real sense of team spirit within the firm, with support provided wherever necessary to ensure work life balance and a happy environment to work in.”
