Our new corporate charity partnership began when we went to visit Teckels Animal Sanctuary in January.
Chosen by our staff, the charity, based on the A38 Bristol Road, tirelessly strive to rescue and rehome cats and dogs, providing them with the love and care they deserve.
When we returned from our visit, Fiona and I had so many heartfelt stories to tell about the wonderful work the staff and volunteers were doing rehabilitating abused animals, as well as providing the best start for abandoned puppies and kittens. Whether an animal person or not, you couldn’t help but have your heartstrings pulled by the photos we showed on our return.
The meeting was also to discuss how we can support their planned fundraising initiatives and get to know more about what they do so that we could help raise their profile and plan some fundraising initiatives of our own.
Our staff have continued their commitment to supporting our corporate charity with donating essential items such as food, poo bags etc; with the first drop off already made; as well as taking part in the brunch baps days and a weekly Lottery bonus ball.
We have a couple of events already planned, with a corporate Darts Doubles tournament on the 25th April and our annual Quiz Night on the 4th July, but there will be more in between we are sure.
