Randall & Payne was first formed in Stroud by John Randall and George Payne in 1879. For 140 years, we’ve been providing expert business advice and practical accounting solutions to help our clients realise their potential.
Our business began as a bookkeeping firm, and accountancy is still at the core of what we do here in Cheltenham. However, our team of specialist accountants work with business in mind to offer so much more.
Our accountants can keep you tax compliant, plan your tax effectively, handle your day-to-day accounts and obligations, and give you the business advice you need to achieve your goals – whether you’re a well-established company, an ambitious SME looking to get to the next level, or an up-and-coming entrepreneur with the world at your feet. When you’re ready for the next step, our corporate finance services can help you grow your business or sell it to the right people for the best price.
Our offices are located just on the outskirts of Cheltenham, and are easily accessible from the town centre and M5. Join us for a seminar, networking event or an informal chat about how we can help – the coffee machine is always on!
Proud sponsors of the Gloucestershire Business Awards
We are proud to be part of the Gloucestershire Business Awards for eight consecutive years. After 22 years, the Awards have firmly established themselves at the forefront of the county’s business community and is an event anticipated by all. The chance to celebrate the successes of both businesses and business people is to be welcomed. It remains a privilege to put something back in to the business community. As a long established part of the county business scene it is always encouraging to see the quality of the entrants coming forward year after year, as well as the variety, and to see county businesses ever changing and evolving with the times.

Ethically responsible, community driven
We’ve been a business in Gloucestershire for over a century and we’re proud to still be part of such a vibrant community. It’s a great responsibility to make a positive impact within the community, and we support local people through volunteer work and charity projects, both individually and as a company.
Our current nominated charity is Scoo-B-Doo which was established in 1982 by a small group of grateful parents, doctors and nurses. Today, the registered charity is still run entirely by volunteers and supports the Neonatal Unit at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in caring for sick and premature babies from Gloucestershire and beyond.
From day one, the charity has been actively fundraising to provide equipment and essential items. Over 80% of the equipment used every day has been funded by Scoo-B-Doo, helping to ensure the babies are given the best possible care. 100% of every donation goes to help the wards tiny patients and their families. With the NHS under constant financial pressure, the money Scoo-B-Doo raises helps to maintain the service that is critical to the survival of these vulnerable patients.
