Business but not quite ‘as usual’ for Sanctus since their award win

In the run up to next month’s entry deadline of the  Gloucestershire Live Business Awards 2021, we’re celebrating last year’s winners. Next up is Best Place to Work winner, Sanctus – here’s what they have been up to since their award win and what made them stand out to the judges.

Like all businesses, 2020 was an unusual year for the Sanctus Group. The unique nature of their contracting works means they focus on large scale infrastructure projects in challenging and often remote environments. These projects cannot simply be stopped, often due to health and safety complications. Therefore they remained busy through the various lockdown periods, seeing an increase in their environmental contracting works with Rivers Trusts and Wildlife Trusts.

This gave Sanctus the opportunity to work closely with the government and the construction industry developing new ways of working and defining safe working practises in real-time during a global pandemic.

Sanctus have also seen their people, including several new starters, working away from the office for extended periods, and have worked hard to find new and unique ways of supporting the Sanctus culture even where they can’t be together in their offices. They’re all looking forward to opportunities to spend more time together throughout 2021 including attending the Gloucestershire Live Business Awards in September!
