You will undoubtedly be aware that there is a formal Budget event from our new Government on 30 October 2024. It is rumoured to be a big event for content, although no one has a crystal ball to know the exact content at present.
In their manifesto the Government pledged not to raise Income Tax, National Insurance or VAT, but we are already aware they have already announced significant changes for example the Winter Fuel Allowance and VAT on Private School Fees. There are concerns that there could be changes to Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and Pension tax reliefs.
Whilst time is running short to budget day, which limits the action you might take, if you have any individual concerns or would value a conversation with our team about your individual position and any actions you might like to take prior to the budget, please do get in touch with your usual contact at Randall & Payne, or if you are not an existing client we can arrange a meeting for you to speak with an expert.
We will be hosting a live screening of the Budget at Kingsholm, reviewing the announcements and disseminating that information for you, so please do keep an eye out for our live coverage on our social media pages and articles on our Expert Opinion page as well as In Focus magazine the following week.
